Its Gingko fruit season in NZ end of April also end of Summer. Early chilly morning in front of Auckland university, Princes Street there are few female Gingko trees planted long ago along the road side. Road beautification, planting trees is important to keep our clean green image. Thanks to City council for planting and not cutting it down. Chopping trees is a big business for tree doctors / landscape contractors.

Gingko biloba is a large, long-living, deciduous tree in the family of Ginkgoaceae, and is the one an only existing member in the genus, Gingko. There was an old Chinese couple collecting fruits fallen on the ground.

My immigrant sense trying to find out new avenues, more green pasture or agricultural background, love with trees stopped running to catch the ferry to Rangitoto volcanic island and started watching what they are doing. Its all hand gestures, face expressions we started talking. They had a half full of bucket in the ladies hand, man is active collecting Gingko seeds.

I collected few and put into their bucket was the best thing I did to get them start talking. I am not a competitor, not undercover Police or university Security and they both happy that I am supporting them. Couple is around their 70s, no wonder this seeds help in their health & fitness.
Seeds smells exactly dog poo. Ist lesson where a glove, lady had a extra glove in her pocket. Fruit pulp is poisonous and can cause skin allergy, skin may peal off later, that is quick learning from our no English hand gesture discussion.
